Online Therapy Washington, DC

Individual Therapy for High Achievers Who Are Never Satisfied with Themselves

You belong at Everbe

Especially if any of this hits a little too close to home

As a kid, you were often praised for being responsible and mature for your age. Now, you see how much pressure that created for you.

You’re always on the go because if you slow down, your thoughts will catch up with you.

You don’t know if there’s a “name” for it, but the descriptions of overthinking, anxiety, and imposter syndrome feel a little too accurate.

You hate how you look and have a love-hate relationship with food. You don’t have much love for yourself.

…or maybe it’s something you haven’t quite put words to yet.

If you’re curious about online therapy in Washington DC, you’re in the right place.

Anxiety Therapy

Who it’s for: You’re the person who rereads emails before sending them, then rereads them again after. You replay work conversations in the shower and wonder if you sounded stupid or not confident enough. You’re always thinking a few steps ahead, trying to prevent problems before they happen, and somehow still feel like you’re behind. People describe you as driven and capable, but your nervous system never gets the memo that things are okay. We’ll focus on learning how to stop fighting your anxiety long enough to understand it.

What’s included: 45-minute virtual, one-on-one sessions held weekly at a consistent time, with the option to meet twice a week when deeper support feels helpful.

Depression Therapy

Who it’s for: You still show up to work and get things done, but outside of that, you don’t feel very connected to much. Weekends feel long. You cancel plans more than you admit and tell yourself you just need time alone. You feel annoyed with yourself. You don't like how you look or act. You notice your lack of motivation, and you think this is just who you are now. Nothing is “wrong enough” to justify it, but you don’t feel good, and you’re tired of pretending it’s fine. Our sessions will focus on acknowledging what’s been hiding under the surface, rather than continuing to shove it down.

Codependency Therapy

Who it’s for: You put people’s thoughts and feelings before yourself, nearly always. You immediately pick up on everyone else’s mood. Even the slightest shift in tone, and you're questioning if you're the problem. You adjust yourself to make everything okay. You say yes when you want to say no. You apologize when you haven’t done anything wrong. And you feel uneasy if someone seems distant or annoyed. You put in a lot of effort to keep people happy. When things feel tense, you get anxious, even though you know it’s not really your job. Therapy helps you understand why you feel so responsible for other people and practice not automatically putting yourself last.

Perfectionism Therapy

Who it’s for: You set the bar high, and then raise it again. When something goes well, you focus on what could’ve been better. When something goes wrong, it sticks with you for days. Mistakes feel personal, and "great" is never good enough. Part of you believes that if you could just get everything right, you’d finally be able to relax and feel fulfilled. Yet, another part of you feels exhausted from trying. We’ll examine where your standards came from and why they still feel non-negotiable.
